Teachers Day

‘Great Minds are Nurtured by Great Masters.’ Every year on the 5th of September, India comes together to observe National Teachers’ Day, a special occasion dedicated to honour and acknowledge the invaluable contributions made by teachers to our society. At St. Charles, the day began with the Eucharistic Celebration by Fr. Alwyn Rex, C.Ss.R. Fr. Alwyn stressed on the role of teachers in shaping the minds and hearts of the young people. After the mass, the Students of Grade 10 welcomed the teachers in the auditorium with flowers which was a pleasant surprise for all the teachers. The students of Grade 10 performed a vibrant cultural programme for their beloved teachers they also highlighted Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan’s contribution in shaping the future of the society. The students also arranged some fun games for the teachers. Our Principal, Sr. Suneetha finally addressed the teachers and highlighted the importance of teachers in shaping the future of the students. All the teachers enjoyed and appreciated the programme. The Management presented a gift to all the teachers as a token of their gratitude and to acknowledge the hard work put in by the teachers towards the development of the students under their care. The PTA Members then continued the celebration for the teachers with splendid games and distributed prizes to the winners. The day came to an end with a delicious meal. It was indeed a memorable day for all the teachers and this was possible only because of the tireless efforts put in by our Principal – Sr. Suneetha, Vice-Principal – Sr. Shanthi, the Students of Std.10 and the PTA Members.
