“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.” – Bhagavad Gita
To commemorate International Yoga Day, a special morning assembly was conducted for the High School students on the theme “Yoga for Harmony, Health and Happiness.”
The programme began with a prayer, followed by informative speeches highlighting the numerous physical, mental, and emotional benefits of practising yoga regularly. Students learned how yoga improves posture, concentration, flexibility, emotional balance, and overall well-being while helping them cope with the challenges of student life.
The school welcomed Ms. Meena, who conducted a practical yoga session featuring Pranayama (breathing exercises) and various Asanas (yoga postures). Students actively participated with great enthusiasm and returned to their classrooms feeling refreshed, focused, and energised.
The celebration reinforced the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life for a healthier body and a peaceful mind.
