Little Charlians' Annual Prize Day

The Little Charlians’ Annual Prize Day was a vibrant celebration of growth, joy and excellence on the theme ‘Planting Seeds of Hope, Watching Them Bloom’. The event beautifully showcased the nurturing environment that the school fosters where every child is given the opportunity to grow and shine like a seed blossoming into a flourishing plant. The day was also filled with excitement and a deep sense of gratitude as the school community came together to honour the achievements of its young learners. The Chief Guest for this joyous celebration was Sr. Precilla Lobo - Vice-Provincial and the Councillor for Spirituality and Formation.

The presence of Sr. Lucy Mascarenhas - Manager and Correspondent added to the significance of the occasion. Our vibrant and energetic comperes took over the stage to begin the formal part of the programme, leading the audience seamlessly from one event to the next. The ceremony started on a divine note with the Invocation Dance by the little babies of the Nursery Section. This was followed by a soul-stirring welcome song rendered by the school choir which further uplifted the spirit of the celebration. The nursery babies mesmerized the audience with their lively and energetic feet-tapping rhythmic beats. Our Chief Guest - Sr. Precilla Lobo then addressed the gathering. Her words were both enlightening and inspiring as she emphasized on the importance of parents spending quality time with their children. Sister stressed that beyond being parents or teachers, adults must also become friends to the children and guide them with love, patience and understanding. To illustrate her message, Sister also shared a powerful video which resonated deeply with everyone in the room. The much-anticipated prize distribution ceremony for the students who had excelled in academics and co-curricular activities followed and the atmosphere was filled with excitement and pride. This truly highlighted the growth of the students who like the seeds of hope were now blooming into confident and accomplished individuals.

The choir kicked off the entertainment segment with a special action song, ‘Won't Worry About a Thing’ bringing a cheerful vibe to the gathering. The highlight of the entertainment programme was the play titled ‘Little Garden of Dreams’. This play beautifully illustrated the theme symbolizing how dreams like seeds need care, nurturing and patience to grow into something beautiful. The little actresses brought the story to life with their vibrant performances capturing the hearts of the audience. Next came the Footprints Fusion, a series of dance performances that brought together a mix of vernacular songs from the late 80’s, disco beats and contemporary filmy hits. It was truly mind-blowing to witness the children’s incredible energy and dancing skills as they grooved to the beats with such enthusiasm. As the event drew to a close, the school choir solemnly rendered the school song bringing the entire programme to a heartwarming and reflective conclusion. The Little Charlians’ Annual Prize Day was indeed a day to remember. The children along with their teachers put in countless hours of effort to make this day a truly memorable one. As we look forward to another year of nurturing these little seeds, we are reminded of the profound truth that every child is a garden waiting to bloom and we are privileged to watch them grow.
