IN-HOUSE TRAINING - ENGLISH

Mrs. Anne Motha who attended the CISCE and KISA Training for English Language and Literature conducted an In-House Training for the Primary Teachers on 18.9.25 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. The training was engaging and informative with practical strategies for teaching Language and Literature. Mrs. Motha also shared her teaching practices and instructed the teachers on what is expected in Composition, Comprehension and Grammar. In Literature, Mrs. Motha educated the teachers on how to teach Prose and Poetry. The highlight of the session was on how to set a question paper by first identifying the learning objectives and their associated cognitive levels. Then the teachers were asked to distribute the weightage of marks across these levels, ensuring that questions progress gradually from lower-order thinking skills (Remembering, Understanding, Applying) to higher-order ones (Analyzing, Evaluating, Creating). She also requested the teachers to ensure that the questions were age-appropriate. This session truly gave us an insight on how to set English Question Papers in future using Bloom's Taxonomy.
