Mrs. Angel Evangeline attended a special Geography Workshop organized by the KISA (Karnataka ICSE Schools Association) at Christ School on 13th September, 2025 for teachers handling the Std. IX and X syllabus. The workshop aimed at enhancing the teaching–learning process in Geography and equipping teachers with new methods to engage students effectively. The resource person - Mrs Tanima Bose, emphasized the importance of concept clarity in physical, economic, and regional geography. A special session was dedicated to the art of making effective questions, where teachers were trained to frame analytical, application-based, and higher-order thinking questions in line with board examination patterns.
Another highlight of the workshop was the practical session on topography, where participants were guided through interpreting contour lines, identifying landforms, and solving topographical map exercises systematically. This was followed by a map marking practice, focusing on rivers, mountains, minerals, and industrial regions in the CISCE curriculum. The hands-on activities gave teachers deeper insight into the skills required for accurate and quick responses in examinations. The workshop concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where doubts were clarified, and teaching strategies were shared among educators. Overall, it proved to be an enriching and resourceful experience, helping teachers strengthen their approach to Geography teaching and better prepare students for board examinations.
